This project was financed by the Kresge Foundation and made possible by EcoWorks. The park was designed with several degrees of complexity to function as an instrument of social cohesion by promoting wellness, common memory and co-creation. The Detroit Institute of Technology at Cody High School became a centerpiece for community engagement together with local industries to supply reusable materials for teh park construction.
The park is also an economic instrument stimulating health, ecologic restoration through blue and green infrastructure while improving use of local resources.
