Improving plastic prevention and recycling through community education in Washington, DC.

This project explored the quantitative aspects of waste recovery from waterways and strategies for social behavior change towards improving plastic waste disposal. 

The Plastic Transformer initiative also tested decentralized recycling possibilities through smaller facilities associated with product development. This decision anticipated the development of future businesses and networks based on a local plastic circular economy.
